To fix weatherstrippingthat s no longer protecting you from the elements loosen its staples with a screwdriver then pull it from the door prying gently with a putty knife if necessary.
Fix sliding glass door latch.
First try oiling the latch to see if that will allow the door to catch properly.
Install the new weatherstripping as the directions indicate making sure to orient the flap correctly.

Locate the two adjusting screws at the bottom of the door on the face or edge of the door and pry off the trim caps that cover the screws.
It s an easy fix.
If that doesn t work remove the lock and purchase a new one that s compatible with your sliding glass door.

Then replace the bottom screw in the hole where it was affixed to the handle to prevent the latch from falling into the doorframe.
Remove any additional staples or glue residue.
