Ford Focus Rear Door Lock Jammed

Passanger rear door lock will not lock with manual operation or the remote.

I mean it is jammed as if it is bolted to the car. Just a note for all the strap does not move. In some cars the door lock actuator is positioned below the latch. It won t open from outside or inside.

There is a recall on the 2005 focus door locks but not the 2007. Could someone take a moment to get a photo of the top half on the hatch door itself of the latch on the car and post it. The child lock is not on. On occasion and generally those occasions are the worst times it s stuck and will not open.

I have an intermittent issue with the rear passenger door on my 2009 flex limited. This is a safety issue because our kids can just open the rear door because you have no ability to lock the door with the child safety lock feature. Just crawled in back and looked at it. Like something isn t initiating the latch. A rod connects the actuator to the latch and another rod connects the latch to the knob that sticks up out of the top of the door. Car door lock actuators are designed to lock and unlock a door without the effort of pulling on a cable and rod.
